The public option would be under the rules as private insur. co.’s. Under the proposed bills it has to negotiate w/ suppliers for prices & must operate entirely on premiums collected – just like the private insur. co.s’. Most people wouldn’t even be eligible to enroll, & the CBO est.’s only 3% of the population would be on it. Private hosp’s & doctors would still be private & the insur. market would still be dominated by private insur. co.’s. How is that a “gov.t takeover of h.c.?
OMG! This isn’t something you read about in the UHC plan — Do you realize what you posted? He is talking about THE BIG PICTURE. Get ahold of your common sense and don’t rely on written text alone – DO SOME THINKING FOR YOURSELF.
patubo, were you really listening? Does he once come across as vile? or ignorant? I don’t suppose this ignorance you speek of is self declaring? Just a thought!
I OBJECT
So you read all 1,990 pages of HR 3962, except the part about the public option?
I can’t find in the House h.c. bill anything that would be a government takeover of health care.
What a stupid fucking bitch.
Do you trust a physician who’s worked in the industry he’s trying to improve for some 25 years, or do you trust people with absolutely no experience in the health insurance industry who never even set foot in a medical school for one minute? If it’s the former, you probably favor Congressman Price’s approach. If it’s the latter, then congratulations – you’re an Obamaton. The man could probably sell you ocean front property in Kansas.
The Constitution isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, once we allow a handful of individuals -self-appointed- to assume power in one form or another (such as activists judges) and make the decisions for the rest of us.
I’d trust this guy a million times over these ignorant youtube comments.
So you’re saying that if the Constitution doesn’t prohibit it, then it falls to the control of the Federal Government by default?
The limits of the power of government, as defined by the Constitution, is really the limits of the power of the people? Are you actually saying that?
Tom Price is vile and ignorant.
10th Amendment
Single payer = healthcare takeover=government controlled rationed medical care
Khrushchev: We cant expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.
lol, true but the constitution doesnt say that the federal government is not allowed to take over healthcare. Besides the government didnt want to take over healthcare. They wanted to take over healthcare INSURACE.
If he was right.
Why doesnt he quote anything,
on the Health Care Bill ??.
Come on, Tom Price, you hypocrit.
Quote something that is soo “dangerous”
what a republican nut.
He gets angry, because his donations, will be lowered.
I can’t seem to find it in the Constitution where it says that it’s the job of the Federal Government to take over healthcare.
I have a great idea . . how about if we just throw the Constitution away, and let the government run every aspect of our lives. After all, we “peasants” aren’t capable of making decisions, and we would just destroy ourselves if we were left to our own vices.
I OBJECT!
Wow…this guy is a moron. How did he ever manage to get a MD. No wonder he is in favor of tort reform…
Price, the latest example of republican goof balls who shouldn’t have the right to vote let alone disgrace the halls of congress. Any constituent stupid enough to vote whacks like this one and bachman into office are criminally insane. Thank God for video so we can show this to our grandchildren as an example of what can happen when blind greed and rampant hypocrisy get a foot hold.
Wow I don’t think Price said a single thing that was true. What a nutcase. Where in the bill does it say anything about people not being able to make personal decisions? Where does he get the idea that doctors will leave the profession if more people have access to healthcare? Is he joking?
“…within free market principles ”
I always hear this above quote from republicans….yet never has my question to any of them explained what “free market principals” are or represent.
The sad fact is there is no such thing as thr free market; unless of course one means anarchy.
*clears throat* Allow me to comment on this video in the exact same way as Mr. Price interrupts Democrats speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives:
I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT! I OBJECT!
Thank you for your time.
I don’t understand, I thought he is FOR gov’t run health care…
instead of the guys who OWN this country**
