How many times do you have to hear it: stop using collectivism to argue for more collectivism. What’s the matter with you? Don’t you get it? You begin by collectivizing one thing, it causes you to collectivize the next. And yet you Socialists wonder a) why free people hate you, b) why we insist that you all slide to Communism. Here’s a thought: libertarianism has room for collectivism. You can join a collective freely – and leave the rest of us alone. Is that not good enough for you?

Nonsense. Libertarianism is for anyone who wants to be free. Chew on what that means for a while re: the social attitudes of too many black folks and what that might mean for their own welfare (that’s small-w welfare) and independence. Settlers and pioneers were libertarian. Freed slaves were libertarian. Frederick Douglas was essentially libertarian.

Personally I think a constitutional amendment explicating that the 18th century usage of the words “man”, “men” and “mankind” has a gender neutral equivalent. This isn’t because I’m a PC bolshy, as a libertarian I just want that platitudinous bandwaggon sect to disappear.

The constitution says “all men” this means black people.

You could be right about people with a free-market ideology, but I consider myself libertarian for pragmatic reasons – markets deliver better livings for people overall

OK then Suadi Arabia has a really low murder rate, what i thought you were implying was that Norway had a really high murder rate. By the way what facts are you saying that I “heard” and not read? Also I completely agree with you I think that the second amendment is one of the best amendments after the first amendment just on the strength that if a gov becomes totalitarian you need arms to overthrow it.

you are basically admitting to me that you would rather have a huge military state than a huge welfare state. Think for a minute, which one could be more easily used to commit genocide on it’s own people? you don’t need huge defense to enforce social contracts perhaps an adequate one at best but no matter how litle social spending there is when you have a military that is too big truth is you have a gov that is too big.

Ok but they tax alcohol, cigarettes, trans fat etc really heavily which just goes to show that higher consumption tax on certain bad things won’t curb people’s freedoms it will just make it so that the gov will have revenue to pay for health care taking away the negative externality of high cost to the responsible healthy norwegian citizen.

Yeah apowers7 I’m for real dude.

I read it, as I don’t use what I “hear” as fact. Yeah norways murder rate is low, lower than the us’s by far. But saudi’s is much lower. Thats just a fact. Read a current publication reguarding this and you will see. For the record, I’d still rather live in norway.

Norway also has very liberal gun laws and alot of people own guns there, which I like. In switzerland you are required to have a fully automatic gun in each home. That isn’t a bad idea either.
